Eaton Corp., a diversified industrial manufacturer, said Monday it has been awarded a contract, valued at more than $88 million, to provide quick-disconnect coupling and hose products for Boeing Co.'s new 787 Dreamliner commercial aircraft.
Eaton's Aeroquip quick-disconnect coupling and hoses will support the aircraft's Integrated Cooling System (ICS) and Power Equipment Cooling System (PECS).
Boeing's 787 Dreamliner features a lightweight composite structure that will allow it to use 20 percent less fuel than current airplanes of similar size.
The 787 Dreamliner is expected to begin service in 2008.
