(Manufacturing.net) — Schneider Electric has recently announced its Powerbus Busway, which offer 400 A and 600 V ratings. They’re designed to provide scalable, flexible and energy-efficiency power in data centers, and can replace the traditional centralized cable distribution runs with a more flexible method of power distribution. The company says this can offer better energy monitoring, reduced energy losses and improved flexibility for equipment moves or changes. Additional features include:

  • An expanded line of 225 A plug-in busways with 600 V maximum ratings.
  • A high plug-in unit density, with up to 20 openings every 10 feet.
  • New 240 V and 480 V tap-off boxes that can accommodate up to three circuit drops per plug-in unit, plus rugged rack-mounting kits to ease installation.
  • A construction that is listed to UL857 for additional safety.
