Precision-Paragon has announced that advanced in its fluorescent lighting technology have allowed it to develop fluorescent lighting fixtures with rated lifespans of up to 80,000 hours. The company says that both LED and fluorescent technologies have undergone significant technological changes even within the last few years.

Precision-Paragon (P2; Yorba Linda, Calif.) has announced that advanced in its fluorescent lighting technology have allowed it to develop fluorescent lighting fixtures with rated lifespans of up to 80,000 hours. The company says that both LED and fluorescent technologies have undergone significant technological changes even within the last few years, allowing for more than one technology to offer the kind of reliability that manufacturers are demanding in today’s marketplace.

For example, the company points out that Sylvania recently released an Extended Performance Extended Life line of T8 fluorescent lamps, which can offer a lifespan of up to 84,000 hours when mated with a program start ballast. The longer lifespans also come with better energy efficiency, of more than 90 lumens per watt, and the fluorescent lamps are available in a variety of customized indoor and outdoor fixtures.
