APEM Offers Stainless Steel Keyboards For Harsh Conditions

APEM Components, Inc. has announced the release of its series of stainless steel keyboards, which were designed to resist harsh environments, including exposure to bad weather and severe temperature variations. According to the company, this construction helps the keyboards hold up to abuse as well, such as scratching, shock, stains or burns.

(Haverhill, Mass.) has announced the release of its series of stainless steel keyboards, which were designed to resist harsh environments, including exposure to bad weather and severe temperature variations. According to the company, this construction helps the keyboards hold up to abuse as well, such as scratching, shock, stains or burns. The Series 9 keyboards feature AISI3161 stainless steel keys that are rated to 3 million operations, plus IP65 water ingress protection. The Series 70 keyboards, on the other hand, are made for semi-protected environments, and are rated to 1 million operations. All the keyboards have an operating temperature range of -20° C to +70° C. Customers are able to choose from several models with or without trackballs, and they can be further customized with a specific number of keys, layouts, backlighting, encryption or custom markings.
