Guardian Business Solutions, Inc. (GBSI; Brookfield, WI) has added two new applications to its Mobilize-IT library of enterprise applications for smartphones and tablets. The Inventory Transfer app offers shop floor and warehouse workers a way to move and track inventory from one bin location to another, or between warehouses. The Purchase Order Receiving app allows users to record product data with information on lot, batch and quantity. These orders can be searched by P. O. number, vendor name or part number. These applications can also be operated with optional bar code scanning or voice recognition. The company says these applications are part of a growing library of Mobilize-IT apps, such as Quality Inspection Capture and Inventory Account offerings. More apps are planned for early 2013.
Initially, the Inventory Count application is available on both Android and iOS operating systems, while the others were designed with Android in mind.
