Plex Systems Announces Enhanced Functionality For Electronics Industry

Plex Online now supports manufacturers with approved vendor lists (AVL) for component manufacturers, allowing them to build sophisticated products that may contain several hundreds of parts from separate suppliers.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 28, 2012 – Plex Systems Inc., provider of Plex Online, Cloud ERP for manufacturers, today announced a series of functionality enhancements designed to improve production efficiencies in the electronics manufacturing industry.

Plex Online now supports manufacturers with approved vendor lists (AVL) for component manufacturers, allowing them to build sophisticated products that may contain several hundreds of parts from separate suppliers.

Workcenter source positioning — especially important for the electronics industry — simplifies the pick and place process in the production line. Component reels are strategically placed in the proper position for machine optimization and help workers easily determine order and position of the various components, which results in minimizing customer rejection rates and associated scrap costs.

“These enhancements to Plex Online will help ensure electronics manufacturers operate more efficiently, reduce customer rejection of parts and minimize costly waste,” said Plex Systems Vice President Patrick Fetterman. “This is an instructive example of listening to the customer and providing product improvements that deliver real benefits to the community of Plex Online users.”
