Construction of what could become the world’s tallest building stalled in Saudi Arabia due to problems with the concrete, but has now restarted, according to Dezeen. The Jeddah Tower, designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture with concept images first released in 2011, could stand 2,716 feet tall at the time of its proposed completion in 2020 and contain apartments, offices, a hotel, and an observatory. Construction began in 2013.
