If you’re afraid of heights, you might want to find an alternate route. At 565 meters tall (1,854 feet), the Beipanjiang Bridge soars high above a gigantic valley between two mountains in southwest China.

It took three years to build and cost around $140 million. It’s only five meters higher than another sky-high overpass in China — the Sidu River Bridge — but it was enough to make the Beinpanjiang the tallest bridge in the world.

The 4,396 foot-long bridge has just four lanes and was built to connect two remote provinces. According to the International Business Times, commuters and sightseers flooded the bridge right after it opened this week.
