A Swiss packaging company recently debuted its paper-based bottle in the U.S.
FoodBev reports that the newly launched spring water brand Just Water will be packaged in Tetra Top bottles, a container made primarily from paper by Tetra Pak.
Officials from Just Beverages hope that the packaging will fit with the company's overall mission of conservation and attract environmentally-conscious consumers.
The Tetra Top manufacturing process saves both energy and water and enables a lower carbon footprint. The bottles can also be recycled into paper products or green building materials.
"Tetra Top aligns with our brand ethos," said Just Beverages CEO Grace Jeon. "The carton delivers a sleek, sustainable package that not only protects our great water but also is compelling to our consumers.”
