Photo Essay: UPS Worldport

Here is a glimpse of the inner workings of the huge Worldport facility.

On my recent journey down to Louisville, KY, I was able to explore and capture some of the magnificent inner workings of UPS’s 5.2 million-square-space aptly titled Worldport. Here, UPS moves more than 115 packages per second, which keeps the company’s overnight facility moving at warp speed. Aside from the astounding automation, Worldport also has armies of sorters, pilots and flight technicians who ensure that each and every package reaches its desired destination.
