Newnan, Ga. — Yokogawa Corporation of America, a manufacturer of equipment measurement, control and automation, has announced the opening on its new facility in Newnan, Ga., which was built in response to increased demand for its products and service offerings.

The groundbreaking ceremony was held on January 22, 2014 at the site, which is located south of Atlanta.

Brad Byrum, North American Vice President of Sales & Marketing, said, “In the more than 20 years I have worked for Yokogawa here in North America I have never seen such strong demand for our growing portfolio of products, solutions and services. While we have grown consistently over these 20 years, the current economic growth directly and indirectly related to shale energy … has fueled demand from both our loyal existing customers, as well as many new customers.”

Another company official stated that the new facility will give the company more capacity to produce, calibrate and service its instrumentation products. With these continuous improvements, the company states it will be able to reduce lead times and ensure high quality, maximizing the return on investment both internally and among its customers.

Yokogawa Corporation of America is headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, and is the North American Division of Yokogawa Electric Corporation’s global footprint of 25 manufacturing facilities and four regional project engineering centers.
