Neponset, Ill. (Manufacturing.net) — Martin Engineering has announced its acquisition of Arizona-based TNJ Industries, which specializes in dust management for the crushing and conveying of mine materials. The purchasing company says the acquisition will strengthen its line of dust control products, giving customers more options when making an investment. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Founded in 1944, Martin Engineering manufactures equipment to make handling bulk materials easier, safer and more productive. The company services coal, cement, biomass, grain, food and other industries. TNJ’s equipment will supplement the existing line-up with turnkey spray systems and custom blended chemical formulations.

Between the two companies, they have been involved in every aspect of the dust control process, from transfer point solutions, air control devices, automated dust suppression systems and more.

Martin Engineering Product Support Manager Mark Strebel said in a statement: “The technology and knowledge that reside at TNJ are a perfect complement to our expertise in dust and spillage control. We now have an even larger toolbox to help us solve difficult dust management problems, and the added capabilities in wet suppression and custom-blended chemicals will be invaluable in helping customers meet tightening dust regulations.”
