Frigidaire has received eight reports of the blade shaft assembly breaking, but no reports of injuries.

The Frigidaire Professional5/8 blenders being recalled have 5-speeds, brushed aluminum and black buttons and a 56-oz. clear glass jar with a black lid and a black base. They have a model number of FPJB56B7MS with serial numbers between FFP 49 1203 0001 and FFP 49 1237 00974.

They were sold at Best Buy, Target and other retailers in the U.S. and online at amazon.com, bedbath.com and other online retailers from March 2012 through July 2013 for about $130.

Electrolux Home Care Products in Charlotte, N.C., distributed the product. Owners should stop using the blenders immediately and contact Frigidaire for instructions on how to send back the blender to get a free replacement.
