Tempur Sealy To Expand Va. Operations

Tempur Sealy International Inc. is planning a $13.3 million expansion of its manufacturing operation in Virginia's Scott County, where the company makes Tempur-Pedic mattresses and pillows. Gov. Bob McDonnell said Wednesday that the expansion is expected to create 42 jobs.

The operation at Duffield Industrial Park produces Tempur-Pedic mattresses and pillows.

The expansion project will receive $182,000 in Tobacco Region Opportunity Funds.

McDonnell approved a $150,000 grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund to assist Scott County with the project.

Lexington, Ky.-based Tempur Sealy is the world's largest provider of bedding.
