Coca-Cola Bottling Co. Consolidated has expanded its sales and distribution center in Roanoke County.
Company spokeswoman Alison Patient says about 125 employees will be transferred from Coca-Cola Bottling's plant in downtown Roanoke to the expanded facility on Integrity Drive.
No new jobs will be created.
Media outlets report that company and local officials held a ribbon cutting for the $7 million expansion on Tuesday.
Patient says the expansion will free up space at the Roanoke plant for manufacturing operations. It also will improve the efficiency of shipping customer orders.
