NEW YORK (AP) -- Wabtec said Wednesday that it's supplying brakes and other parts for New York City subway cars.
The 300 cars, expected in 2015, are being built by Canada's Bombardier in a Plattsburgh, N.Y., plant.
Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies Corp. did not disclose financial terms of its agreement with Bombardier. Bombardier has a $600 million contract with New York's Metropolitan Transportation Authority for the cars.
Shares of Wabtec, which is based in Wilmerding, Pa., gained 74 cents to $89.87 in morning trading.
