NEWELL, W.Va. (AP) -- Fiesta dinnerware maker Homer Laughlin is merging with Hall China in a move aimed at strengthening both companies' brands.
Newell, W.Va.-based Homer Laughlin announced the merger agreement with Hall China on Thursday.
Homer Laughlin CEO Joe Wells II says the merger will increase America's place in international china manufacturing.
Hall China Chairman and CEO John Sayle says the companies have collaborated for more than a century.
Homer Laughlin is the largest tabletop china maker in the U.S. East Liverpool, Ohio-based Hall China is the largest U.S. manufacturer of specialty chinaware.
