Cupcakes Recalled for Mesh Wire

Flowers Foods (Thomasville, GA) has recalled Tastykake multi-pack cupcakes that may contain tiny fragments of metal mesh wire. A vendor alerted the company that a supplied ingredient may be contaminated. They were distributed to retail customers in seven East Coast states and Washington DC.


Dole Salad Recalled for Listeria

Dole Fresh Vegetables has recalled a limited number of cases of garden salad due to Listeria risk. No illnesses connected to any of the recalled products have been reported. The products were distributed in 10 East Coast states.


Salads, Wraps Recalled for Plastic

Ukrop’s Homestyle Foods (Richmond, VA) has recalled seven salad and wrap products after several pieces of brown hard plastic were found in a supplier ingredient during preparation. They were distributed to retail grocers in Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Ohio.


Mispackaged Protein Bars

Bobo’s (Boulder, CO) has recalled mispackaged 4-Pack Almond Butter Protein Bars because they may contain undeclared peanuts. They were distributed through select Target stores nationwide.


Ginseng Recalled for High Lead, Cadmium

Murray Int’l Trading (Brooklyn, NY) has recalled Angelicae Sinensis (female Ginseng) because it may contain elevated levels of lead and cadmium. The product is used to make a soup. It was distributed in 15 states to retail stores.
