According to local news reports, Conagra is closing its Tennessee Price Sausage plant in Dickson, TN, which will result in the loss of 345 jobs.

The Tennessean and WTVF each cite company officials saying the factory is expected to close in the next 18 months, with production moving to Jackson, TN.

The Tennessee Pride brand, which makes frozen and refrigerated breakfast sandwiches and sausage, was bought by Conagra in 2012.

"Today we informed employees at our Dickson, TN, facility that we intend to close the facility in the fall of 2021,” Conagra said in a statement provided to local media on Jan. 22. “We made this decision following a thorough analysis of our overall facility footprint and the need to operate as efficiently and competitively as possible across the company. As is always the case when we make a decision like this, we have the utmost consideration for our employees and how they will be affected. It is important to us that we treat impacted employees fairly and with a high degree of respect."
