From repairing equipment in extreme temperatures to climbing thousands of feet to replace wires, there are some jobs that are more dangerous than others. Graphic Products, a provider of visual communication solutions for compliance and safety, has a new infographic that provides an eye-catching glimpse of the Top 10 Most Dangerous Jobs.
Safety managers and workers can utilize this infographic to better understand the main causes for fatalities of popular occupations to help prevent them in the future.
“While every job has importance and risks, there’s something to be said about the top 10 most dangerous jobs,” said Nicole Noble, a product manager at Graphic Products. “Our infographic serves as a visual resource to remind workers of the importance of working safely and complying with regulations and best practices.”
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor and Statistics, the top 10 most dangerous jobs rank for having the highest fatality rates per year. Research of the BLS data was then compiled and reported on by financial news publication 24/7 Wall St. “Fatality rates for each of these jobs are more than double the rate across all occupations — and in some cases over 20 times higher,” the authors wrote.
Safety managers can use this free resource in toolbox talks and to print and share with workers in the break room for a visual safety reminder.
