Dustin Cohen directed this video about Sam Zygmuntowicz, the Brooklyn-based "Violin Maker." Sam makes all of his instruments by hand, chiseling and shaving away at the thin planks of wood to get them sounding just right. And even better, Sam doesn't just make a violin and hand it off to the musician. He's there, any time that person comes back to New York with their prized instrument, to tweak the construction so it sounds just right. And he's got the passion to boot.
