Modding The iPhone

Ben Heck, the renouned tweaker and modder, takes on the iPhone with a button-mashing mod.

Ben Heckendorn is renouned electronics tweaker and modder, having developed portable versions of popular video game consoles (as seen briefly in the introduction). This time, he takes on the iPhone. More specifically, he takes apart a device called the iCade, which gives iPhone and iPad users some arcade-like buttons to interact with games. Ben wanted to make something a little more svelte, so he ripped out the circuitry and used a variety of tools, like a 3-D printer, to create an entirely new product.
