Making A Surfboard That Lasts Generations

Randy Weflen makes each hollow cedar surfboard by hand, and carves them out to last generations, not a single season.

Randy Weflen is the proprietor of Weti Surfboards, based out of Lantzville, BC, Canada. He makes each hollow cedar surfboard by hand, and admits that they weigh more than the more-common foam surfboards. However, Welflen builds his creations to last decades, not one season. It doesn't hurt that they're absoluetly gorgeous, either.
