KEEN has released a number of new heavy-duty boots within its spring/summer 2014 lineup, including a few that are ideal for manufacturing.
The Estacada, built for men, is ideal for those who seek comfort out-of-the-box, with a waterproof full-grain leather upper and KEEN.Dry membrane that lets moisture out but never in. There is also a hydrophobic/hydrophilic two-zone comfort technology that helps keep feet dry and comfortable throughout the day, plus a removable EVA footbed for added comfort. And for the grittier jobs, there’s an oil- and slip-resistant outsole that improves safety. The Estacada is also made in the company’s Portland, Ore., manufacturing facility, which helps workers or companies make another significant “Made in America” purchase.
And for women, there’s the Salem, an all-leather, all-weather boot that offers support and comfort to the unique shape of a woman’s foot. The boot is made with a waterproof nubuck leather and a KEEN.Dry membrane, plus a 90-degree heel for better stability when working up and down ladders. The asymmetrical steel-toes deliver ASTM-rated protection along the natural curve of the feet and toes.
