These batteries are environmentally-friendly, containing no lead or acid, and create no gasses during charge. At 29.8 pounds, they’re also lighter than the lead-acid batteries, which come standard. They work up to 2,000 cycles, and can achieve up to 8-times longer cycle life than lead-acid batteries with no maintenance, which means that users can store them up to one year without recharging. A typical lifespan is five years. With all of these benefits, the company says that customers who choose the lithium-ion batteries will reduce environmental impacts while also reducing costs due to less maintenance and longer lifecycles.
