Cumming, Ga. (Manufacturing.net) — AutomationDirect has announced an expansion to its line of signal conditioners, which now include potentiometer and bipolar signal conditioners. These, according to the company, can help companies solve interface issues between PLCs and analog input devices.

The FC-P3 is a 24 VAC/VDC potentiometer input to isolated analog output signal conditioner, and is capable of converting resistive signals from a 10 kilohm potentiometer to a 4-20 mA signal. It is configurable for 3-wire potentiometer/slidewire inputs and has analog output options ranging from 0-20 mA to 0-10 V.

Other features include:

  • The ability to be field-configured to eliminate ground loops.
  • Signal levels selectable via DIP switches, plus input OFFSET and SPAN adjustments that are customizable via the front panel.
  • A slim plastic housing that includes a 35mm DIN rail mounting adapter, LED indicator and removable screw terminal blocks for easy installation.
