Nortech Vacuum Products has announced a new line of ATEX-approved pneumatic vacuums for hazardous locations, which eliminate the threat of static electricity by combining static conductive design with inherent safe pneumatic vacuum technology.

Nortech Vacuum Products (Chicopee, Mass.) has announced a new line of ATEX-approved pneumatic vacuums for hazardous locations, which eliminate the threat of static electricity by combining static conductive design with inherent safe pneumatic vacuum technology. These vacuums are approved for hazardous environments, which means they meet the requirements for use in Class I, Group A, B, C & D, and Class II, Groups E, F, and G environments. They are ATEX-approved for zones 1, 2, 21, and 22.

The vacuums run entirely off of compressed air, and are available in 30- and 55-gallon drum units. In addition, they come with three grounding options, 1-1/2” or 2” hose, static conductive air supply hose and fittings, and all-metal pick-up tools. The static conductive attachments and multiple grounded options eliminate static electricity at the source, according to Nortech.
