Clean Your Sump Faster, Better

CECOR (Verona, Wis.) has developed a Sumpcleaner that will vacuum up the entire contents of a machine sump and filter the solids from the coolant before pumping filtered coolant back to the sump, or to a central processing station. The company says that filtration is an important part to the coolant cleaning process, as metal chips in the coolant can mar the workpiece. At the same time, these chips and fines in coolant sumps cause microbial growth—the Sumpcleaner uses biocides to control the growth of bacteria. The CECOR Sumclearners deliver high suction lift to remove all solids in the coolant sump, along with the metalworking fluid, and delivers the filtered coolant back in minutes.

The company has developed a video showcasing the Sumpcleaner’s capabilities.
