SpaceX is reportedly resuming launches from Florida's Space Coast some five months after an explosion at its Cape Canaveral launch pad.
The Orlando Business Journal reports that a SpaceX mission to deliver supplies to the International Space Station is scheduled for Feb. 15, with another launch slated for this month to deliver the EchoStar 23 communications satellite to orbit.
The launches will take place on pad 39A at Kennedy Space Center, which was used during NASA's Apollo and Space Shuttle eras.
The last scheduled launch of a Falcon 9 rocket in Florida — which was set to deliver a Facebook satellite into orbit — exploded at SpaceX's main launch pad during a routine test on Sept. 1.
A company investigation blamed the incident on a tank failure within a second-stage liquid oxygen tank.
SpaceX conducted its first launch since the explosion last month in California.
CEO Elon Musk recently indicated that the forthcoming Falcon 9 launches will be among the last before an upgraded Falcon 9 and the Falcon Heavy are used to deploy future payloads into space.
