OVEN MITTS

DETAILS: The Marvel Thanos Infinity Gauntlet oven mitts' outer shell is 100% polyester, primarily in a golden yellow color with blue, purple, green, red and black accents. The Marvel logo can be found on the upper center part of the oven mitt. Made in China and UPC code 15129322 are printed on the care label on the inside seams of the oven mitts.

 

WHY: The oven mitts lack thermal protection, posing a burn hazard to consumers.

INCIDENTS: The firm has received 241 reports of burn injuries, including reports of the glove melting and burning consumers' skin.

HOW MANY: About 360,000 were sold in the U.S., 15,000 in Canada and about 380 in Mexico.

POWER GENERATOR

DETAILS: The 1,500 watt Patriot Power Generators were sold in black or dark blue with "Patriot Power Generator" printed on the right side of the unit. The recalled generators have serial numbers U14040001 through U14041092, and U14110001 through U14111092 printed on a sticker in the upper right hand corner of the rear panel of the unit. The generators measure about 18 inches long by 10 inches wide by 12 inches tall.

WHY: The battery sold with the generator can catch fire, posing a fire hazard to the user or bystanders.

INCIDENTS: Lekker has received 13 reports of generator fires, two reports of generators that began to smoke and one report of an unusual noise or odor from the generator. No injuries have been reported.

CHILD CAR SEAT

DETAILS: Combi USA, Inc. is recalling certain Coccoro Convertible Child Restraints, model number 8220, manufactured from Jan. 1, 2009 to June 29, 2016.

WHY: When the Coccoro car seat is installed in a forward-facing position and only secured with the vehicle's lap belt, excessive force may be transmitted to the car-seat occupant in the event of a crash, increasing their risk of injury. This recall does not affect the use of the Coccoro car seat when installed in a rearward-facing position.

INCIDENTS: None reported.

PRESCRIPTION DRUG PACKAGING:

DETAILS: This recall involves 1.75 mg and 3.5 mg Zolpidem Tartrate sublingual (rapid dissolve) tablets from Novel Laboratories. The prescription medication is a sleep drug. The packaging for the 1.75 mg tablets has lot number M16140A, 1.75 mg and national drug code (NDC) 43386-762-30. The packaging for the 3.5 mg tablets has lot number M16144A, 3.5mg and national drug code (NDC) 43386-761-30. The Zolpidem Tartrate is packaged as a single tablet in a peel-and-push blister pack inside an outer open-ended pouch with 30 pouches per box. The lot number and an expiration date of 02/2018 are printed on the bottom left of the pouches. The NDC is printed on the top left corner of the boxes. "Gavis" is printed in blue on the center of the white boxes and pouches.

WHY: The packaging for the prescription drug is not child-resistant as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, posing a risk of poisoning if swallowed by children.

INCIDENTS: None reported.

HEAT WRAPS

DETAILS: UComfy Neck and Shoulder Heat wraps are electric powered and provide heat to the user's neck, shoulders and upper back. The wraps come in two colors: beige (item number 9700FE) and blue (item number 9699FE). The item numbers appear on the product washing instructions label. The electric controller unit states "TYPE HP74." The connection between the power supply and the heat wrap has 4 prongs. Ucomfy is printed at the top of the white label attached to the heat wraps.

WHY: The heat wrap can overheat, posing a burn hazard.

INCIDENTS: Emson has received 16 reports of the heat wraps overheating, including three reports of burns.

PENDANT TRANSMITTERS

DETAILS: The beige Inovonics devices transmit or receive signals for emergency call systems in senior independent and assisted living communities, as well as security monitoring systems in commercial buildings and some luxury residences. Recalled models include EN1210, EN1223S, EN1233S and EN4232MR. The EN1223S and EN1233S wireless pendant transmitters allow users to push a button to summon assistance. "Inovonics" is printed on all the devices except on model EN1223S. The model number appears on a label on the back of the device. The date code is printed on the carton label and on the circuit board inside the device.

WHY: The transmitters and receivers can fail to send or receive a signal for help in an emergency.

INCIDENTS: None reported.

CHILDREN'S NIGHTGOWNS

DETAILS: Girls 100 percent cotton tunic nightgowns by Cecil & Lou were sold in a pink and white checkered pattern with white piping trim in sizes 12 months to 8. The nightgowns have buttons on the center front and on each cuff at the wrist and a pocket on the left side of the chest. "C&L Smocked Threads by Cecil and Lou" is printed on a neck label.

WHY: The nightgowns fail to meet federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.

INCIDENTS: None reported.

ELECTRIC WALL OVENS

DETAILS: Frigidaire and Kenmore-branded electric single and double wall ovens made by Electrolux were sold in black, white or stainless steel. The single ovens measure about 24 inches wide, 32 inches tall and 25 inches deep. The double ovens measure about 24 inches wide, 51 inches tall and 25 inches deep. "Kenmore" or "Frigidaire" is printed below the oven window. The model and serial numbers are located on the left side trim on the inside of the oven.

WHY: The thermal switch on the ovens can malfunction due to improper manufacturing, posing a fire hazard to consumers.

INCIDENTS: None reported.
