National Association of Manufacturers President and CEO Jay Timmons issued this statement following House passage of legislation to approve the Keystone XL pipeline:

“Today, the House stood up and said ‘yes’ to jobs, innovation and manufacturing by approving the Keystone XL pipeline project. Both the House and Senate support the construction of the pipeline, previous court hurdles have been cleared, and roadblocks have been removed. It’s time for President Obama to quit playing politics with our nation’s energy security and simply say ‘yes.’ Manufacturers have heard the President laud the growth, innovation and jobs that manufacturing creates. He must now stand up for and act on behalf of manufacturers by approving the pipeline without further delay.”
