Georgia Gov. Nathan Deal says a German manufacturer of auto components is building its first U.S. facility in northeast Georgia.
Deal said in a statement Wednesday that Häring is planning to create 800 new jobs by 2025 and will invest $54 million over five years to develop the facility in Hartwell — near the South Carolina border.
Deal says the company is building a 196,000 square-foot facility and a training center to better reach customers in the Southeast.
Deal say employees at the facility will make fuel injection parts and other precision components. Deal says some of the positions will also require learning German at the company's headquarters in Bubsheim, Germany.
