A new manufacturing plant in Dillon County is expected to create 400 new jobs in South Carolina during the next five years.
The state Commerce Department said Tuesday that Wyman-Gordon, which makes nickel and other alloy parts for aerospace, power generation, and industrial uses, is building a plant in Dillon.
Construction is to begin by the end of the year with the plant beginning operations by the end of next year. The Commerce Department did not say how much the company is investing.
The company operates 64 facilities worldwide.
