A Japanese company that makes personal hygiene products and cleaning supplies is planning to expand operations and create 170 jobs in Gwinnett County, Georgia.

Gov. Nathan Deal said Thursday that Haso USA Inc. is planning to invest $7 million into a new 100,000 square-foot Peachtree Corners plant. Deal says the new jobs will be in the manufacturing and distribution fields.

Officials say the plant will manufacture personal wet wipes, baby wipes, flushable and disinfecting wipes along with dusting products.

Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Charlotte Nash says the county is home to more than 110 Japanese businesses.
