Extrusion plastics blow molder, Apex Plastics, announced the opening of its newly remodeled and expanded manufacturing facility at 570 S. Main Street in Brookfield, Missouri. The expansion includes 2,000 sq. ft. of additional office space and 2,500 sq. ft. of added warehouse and production space.

"We've expanded before," said Apex president Damon Neff, "but past modifications were made to the plant simply to bring us up to speed to meet client needs at that time. With this new expansion, we are thinking well into the future. The new space will accommodate a wide range of anticipated client needs and allow us to creatively engineer project efficiency as we head into the last half of the 2010s."

The Apex building expansion encompasses new material silos for storing raw plastic, a cooling tower and enlarged warehouse and production spaces, as well as a larger maintenance shop, additional parking and a larger and newly redecorated office area and conference room. Insulation was improved, along with other interior and exterior structural changes to improve the building's environmental efficiency.

Neff said the new space gives Apex the ability to streamline production flow, as well as accommodate growth. Over the past three years, Apex has invested nearly $4 million in upgraded equipment and facilities to grow with client needs.
