Waterproof Coating Improves Performance, Reduces Life-Cycle Costs

Garland’s new Energizer BK specially formulated cold-applied waterproof coating provides natural resistance to moisture, chemicals, UV and aging, improving the long-term performance of new and existing coal tar pitch and asphalt roofing systems. Energizer BK is specially formulated with an asphalt coal tar blend to provide excellent water resistance in addition to superior strength and flexibility.

Energizer BK is designed to be used as a flood coat over new and existing asphalt and coal tar roof systems or as a premium restoration material. The cold-applied nature of Energizer BK eliminates many of the harmful emissions of a conventional hot-applied coal tar system while providing the same performance benefits. Energizer BK is also fiber reinforced to provide superior sag resistance, increased tensile strength, excellent crack resistance and improved weathering resistance.
