Integrated Systems Design (ISD), an order picking, packing and shipping integrator and manufacturer, has been selected to speak about "Dimensional (DIM) Order Packing Trends & Tips to Increase Profitability" at the upcoming Parcel Forum Show in Dallas, TX, September 29 through October 1, 2014.

The session will review how the latest FedEx and UPS DIM will increase shipping costs by 25% to 300% and how organizations can optimize their packing processes and procedures to turn this costly event into an opportunity to increase market share and profits. This paradigm shift makes it essential to evaluate your existing processes, procedures, equipment and philosophies and how they will have to be modified to mitigate DIM pricing.

The session will focus on key elements to audit, process, and review, modify and recommend fast return on investment equipment as well as philosophy changes that are required to turn DIM into a competitive advantage.

A window of opportunity exists for organizations to not only mitigate this rise in shipping costs, but increase customer satisfaction, market share and profitability. Methods of how to improve an organization's order packing processes, labor and equipment system utilization will be discussed.

"With the latest UPS and FedEx Dimensional Rate (DIM) price increase, organizations are sitting on a ticking time bomb. Shipping air will become incredibly expensive and doing nothing is simply not a viable option. So order packing is now in the forefront," said the session speaker Ed Romaine, CMO-VP Marketing with Integrated Systems Design.
