ATHENS, Ala. (AP) -- A steel company based in suburban-Chicago is planning to open a plant in the Athens area.
The Decatur Daily reports (https://bit.ly/KD2eBm ) Nexus AG Holdings is buying a 300,000 square-foot building from Calhoun Community College and Alliance Steel will put a steel coil company in the building.
Limestone County Economic Development Authority Chairman Tom Hill says the company is making a $10.88 million investment in the expansion.
The newspaper reports the company is planning to create 45 jobs within three years.
