Steyr Arms Moving To HQ Near Birmingham, Ala.

A leading firearms company is moving into new headquarters west of Birmingham. Steyr Arms says it will be up and running in its 33,000-square-foot complex in Bessemer on Jan. 2. The company has been operating in the Birmingham suburb of Trussville.

The company has been operating in the Birmingham suburb of Trussville.

The new facility includes 25,000 square feet of warehouse and manufacturing space and 5,000 square feet of office space. There's a firearms testing range and a showroom for guns.

Founded in Austria in 1864, Steyr Arms is a subsidiary of Steyr Mannlicher. The company is both a manufacturer and the U.S. importer of Steyr, Merkel and Anschutz firearms.
