GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) -- The slow and steady opening of Honda Aircraft Co.'s headquarters and manufacturing hub in North Carolina takes a new step with completion of a building for customer-service operations.
The company plans a ceremony Thursday at its headquarters in Greensboro. The site will host office workers working for customer and warranty programs, technical support, technical publications, and training.
Customer deliveries of the $4.5 million business jet have been delayed several times and the company now is targeting the end of next year.
Honda's first aircraft has engines mounted on top of high-tech, composite wings that give it better maneuverability.
