MEXICO CITY (AP) -- Five people are dead following a fire at a privately operated LP gas distribution plant in central Mexico.

The government of the state of Puebla says two people have been injured.

The government says the causes of the fire late Tuesday are still under investigation.

About 58 people who lived or worked near the gas plant were evacuated.

The Energy Department says the plant was operated by the company Gas Pronto SA de CV.
