ANN ARBOR TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) -- The Toyota Technical Center plans to invest more than $28 million to expand its powertrain operations at two facilities in the Ann Arbor area.
The division is part of automaker Toyota Motor Corp.'s North American operations.
The expansion announced Thursday is expected to focus in design, evaluation and calibration for new engine and transmission projects.
Toyota says the investment will allow the technical center to develop engines and automatic transmissions for its North American vehicles.
