Gov. Bob McDonnell announced Friday Korona S.A.'s $18.3 million investment in southwest Virginia. He said the new addition to the Pulaski County economy will be housed in an existing building and at a site that allows for future growth.

Economic development officials say Korono manufactures 8.7 million candles each day. Founded in 1992 in Poland, the company employs about 820 employees.

McDonnell approved a $600,000 grant to assist Pulaski County with the new industry.
