SCHAUMBURG, Ill. (AP) -- A Germany-based manufacturing company that makes cooling systems for computers and servers is relocating its U.S. headquarters from Ohio to Illinois.

Rittal (rih-TAHL') Corp. was based in Urbana, Ohio. Officials announced Thursday it's moving to Schaumburg, Ill., about 35 miles northwest of Chicago.

Company officials say the facility will be ready next month. The move is expected to create 40 jobs.

Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn credits the relocation to his trip last year to Germany, where he met with Rittal CEO Friedhelm Loh. The company will be eligible for tax credits.

Rittal Corporation is a U.S. subsidiary of Rittal GmbH & Co. KG. The company has offices in Nevada and Texas, and employs 10,000 people globally.

According to its website, Rittal manufactures industrial and IT enclosures, racks and accessories.
