Tempur Sealy International Inc. is planning a $13.3 million expansion of its manufacturing operation in Virginia's Scott County.

Gov. Bob McDonnell said Wednesday that the expansion is expected to create 42 jobs.

The operation at Duffield Industrial Park produces Tempur-Pedic mattresses and pillows.

The expansion project will receive $182,000 in Tobacco Region Opportunity Funds.

McDonnell approved a $150,000 grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund to assist Scott County with the project.

Lexington, Ky.-based Tempur Sealy is the world's largest provider of bedding.
