Tenn. Furniture Manufacturer Adding 228 Jobs

MORRISTOWN, Tenn. (AP) — A contract manufacturer of furniture is expanding its plant in Morristown, Tenn. and adding 228 new jobs.

Oddello Industries LLC announced it $4 million expansion on Thursday.

Company COO Tom Roberts noted Oddello began in East Tennessee and said Morristown is a logical fit for continued growth, particularly with rising overseas shipping and labor costs.

Within the last year, Oddello has made a significant investment in the East Tennessee Valley Industrial District and now has nearly 1 million square feet of total floor space for production.

Oddello's customers include the world's leading furniture brands.

Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bill Hagerty said he appreciates the company returning high quality manufacturing jobs to Tennessee.
