Descartes Acquires Scandinavia-Based KSD Software

KSD is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and currently has more than 1,300 customers throughout the EU, with a focus on Norway and other Scandinavian countries. The company also holds offices in Sweden, Denmark, and The Netherlands. Descartes says the all-cash purchase was NOK 190 million ($33 million USD).

(Manufacturing.net) — Descartes Systems Group, based in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, has acquired KSD Software Norway AS (KSD), which provides electronic customs filing solutions for the European Union. Many of the EU supply chain players look toward companies like Descartes and KSD to manage the complexity of dealing with different regulations, languages and systems in various members states.

KSD is headquartered in Oslo, Norway, and currently has more than 1,300 customers throughout the EU, with a focus on Norway and other Scandinavian countries. The company also holds offices in Sweden, Denmark, and The Netherlands. Descartes says the all-cash purchase was NOK 190 million ($33 million USD).
