Ford Fund To Boost College For Creative Studies

The Ford Motor Co. Fund plans to donate $1 million over five years for efforts involving the College for Creative Studies. The Detroit school and the Dearborn-based automaker announced the donation Friday to establish the Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies' College and Career Transitions Office.

The Detroit school and the Dearborn-based automaker announced the donation Friday to establish the Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies' College and Career Transitions Office. It also will be used to start a Ford Blue Oval Scholarship fund at CCS.

Henry Ford Academy: School for Creative Studies is a public charter middle and high school created as a partnership between CCS and Henry Ford Learning Institute. It's at the A. Alfred Taubman Center for Design Education, and graduates its first high school senior class this year.
