NEW YORK (AP) -- Turkish Airlines has finalized an order for 15 Boeing airplanes that will help it fly to more destinations globally.
The order is valued at $4.7 billion at list prices although customers buying multiple planes often get a discount.
The companies said Monday that the deal, initially announced in October as a commitment, includes options for five more of the 777-300ER planes.
Turkish Airlines currently has 12 777-300ERs and nearly 100 Boeing airplanes. The 777-300ERs seat up to 386 passengers in each individual aircraft.
Turkish Airlines serves more than 200 destinations across 90 countries.
Boeing shares slipped 54 cents to $74.10 in premarket trading.
