EADS Offices Raided In Bribery Probe

Authorities have searched several German offices of European defense manufacturer EADS as part of a probe into the company's sale of fighter jets to Austria. BERLIN (AP) -- Authorities have searched several German offices of European defense manufacturer EADS as part of a probe into the company's sale of fighter jets to Austria.

German news agency dapd cited the Munich prosecutors' office as saying raids Tuesday were linked to allegations of bribery in the sale of Eurofighter planes to the Alpine republic.

EADS spokesman Gregor von Kursell confirmed Wednesday that searches had taken place in Germany.
